Ask an alumni!
What could a student do if they aren’t doing an internship this summer?
“There’s so many options! If you’re in your early years of undergrad, taking summer classes is always an option, or you can reach out to professors if you’re interested in doing research. UCLA has a summer research program called SURP which focuses on students with little or no research experience and places them in a lab. For later years, you can start/continue with research, start your own side project, work on other hobbies/goals, or just relax! Summer is an opportunity to further your career goals, but it should also serve as a refreshing break from the busy school year and be enjoyable. :)”
