Projects
OPS Lecture 2
6:00 to 7:30pm on November 2nd, 2023 in Math Sci 5137
With OPS' first project of the year completed (congrats!), it's time to delve into sightly more complex topics! OPS lecture 2, all about circuit schematics, is coming up very soon, on Thursday November 2nd. Resistors, voltage sources, and diodes are all cool, but a scary new challenger is approaching: math! Resistors in series, resistors in parallel, resistors in perpendicular...Oh, and it's important to learn how to combine all these components into a functional (preferably useful) circuit as well. Come on by November 2nd at 6:00 PM for OPS' second lecture of the year!
WRAP Lecture 2
6:00 to 8:00 pm on November 2nd, 2023 in the Faraday Room
WRAP Worksession 1
12:00 to 4:00 pm on November 4th, 2023 in the IEEE Lab
Pocket Racers Worksession 2
5:00 to 8:00 pm on November 5th, 2023 in the IEEE Lab

Member of the Week
Jace Fang
Year and major: Sophomore, Electrical Engineering
Involvement with IEEE: Publicity 23-24, DAV Member 23-24, Micromouse Member 22-23
Hobbies: Drawing/crafting, watching documentaries, napping
Favorite memory with IEEE: Making and feasting on dumplings with Shredded ChIEEEse last year was definitely my most delicious memory with IEEE. We got up to a lot of other shenanigans, but there's nothing like eating good food with good people.
Your most useless talent or fun fact: Building miniature kits are my bread and butter
What you would be doing if time and money were not an issue: I would spend all my time designing the craziest house where basically everything is custom made and painted. Maybe it'd turn into me doing set design for theme parks so that waiting in line for the ride is the best part.
Piece of advice to our readers: Take the time to learn what simple things brighten your day, like buying a treat or calling a friend. Sometimes things happen and life just gets to you. Rest, do something you love, and learn what makes you recover.
