Come learn about how to program on microcontrollers!
Infineon PSoC workshop
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on October 29th, 2024, in Boelter 4283
Interested in learning about ML/AI in embedded and IoT applications? Interested in what a Programmable System-on-Chip is and how you can use it in projects? (hint: they combine an MCU with programmable analog and digital logic blocks!) Come join Infineon and IEEE at UCLA at the PSoC workshop! Food will be provided!
Big/Little Social
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 1st, 2024, in the Maxwell Room (E-IV #57-124)
Are you new to IEEE and looking to get more involved? Our Big/Little Mentorship Program is designed to connect you with experienced members who can offer guidance, support, and insider tips to help you navigate IEEE, build your skills, and make meaningful connections. Whether you're looking for advice on classes, projects, or just want a friend to go to events with, this program is the perfect way to jumpstart your IEEE journey. Member of the Week
Seth Ferrell
Year and major: Junior, Electrical Engineering
Involvement with IEEE: DAV, WRAP, & SPI
Hobbies: Astrophotography, hiking, and (recently) caving
Favorite memory with IEEE: When I tested my tesla coil in the lab and it worked perfectly.
Your most useless talent or fun fact: Contrary to popular belief about tall people, I do not play any sports.
Favorite Artist, Song, or Album: Nujabes
What are you most excited for right now: I'm most excited to do my one goal for the year: to try something new (non-engineering)/join a new community at UCLA.
Piece of advice to our readers: Like life itself, university is a very short period of time. Meet new people, try new things, take advantage of the resources you have around you, and, most importantly, give yourself breathing room to take it all in.
