3:00 to 5:00 pm on May 4th, 2024, in the IEEE Lab
As a final goodbye from your old IVP, we will be throwing one last highkey organized planned social: May the 4th Be with YOU. Don't be sad, because tears will make you look PATHETIC and pathetic engineers LOSE. That's right, this is a competition, and in the spirit of the Jedi (?) we will be fighting for glory, honor, and survival.
GBs...this is a competition! Come with a themed snack (sign up in the RSVP form) and for bonus points, COME DRESSED UP!!! If you're not a GB kiddo, still come dressed up ready to outperform all the GBs <3333333333
There will themed snacks, a competition, and even a special EVIL guest. You won't want to miss it for the world.

Wondering what to do next with your OPS kit? Need a few more ideas for our hardware hackathon, IdeaHacks next year? Join us for our next workshop in our Spring workshop series focusing on more advanced uses of the powerful Arduino microcontroller. Come on out to learn more about different peripherals, serial communication systems, and more to help you start your own summer projects or side hobbies. An Arduino is not needed for attendance but if you want to bring your own that would be awesome!

Member of the Week
Nader Sehatbakhsh
Year and major: Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Hobbies: What is that?? Joking aside, here are a few: Playing tennis, playing with my cats, watching sports (these days mostly soccer and NBA), Clash of Clans, if there is time: PS5 (currently playing stray)
Favorite memory with IEEE: Attending the banquet without getting the email about the dress code.
Your most useless talent or fun fact: I can shake my shoulders very fast. Persians love this when dancing.
Favorite Artist, Song, or Album: Pink Floyd, The brick in the wall (the wall album), with Comfortably numb and Wish you were here as close second and third.
What you would be doing if time and money were not an issue: Teaching at UCLA ;) Of course not! Probably a part-time tour guide travelling different places, the other half I'd stay home writing a book.
Piece of advice to our readers: Be socially active and try to make as many connections and friends while you can!
