Come out to the annual IEEE x HKN ECE Research fair where you can learn about the labs looking for undergraduate students to get hands-on experience in research! Whether or not you are considering a career in research, this is the perfect event for you to speak to current graduate students and explore different aspects of being an ECE student here at UCLA. And if that's not enough to convince you to come out, there will be free pizza :)

OPS iPoduino Competition

Celebrate your sprint through the Project 3 deadline (Wednesday, February 8th at 11:59pm) with our 100% noncompetitive iPoduino COMPETITION! Come party with us on Thursday, February 9th to vote on which song is YOUR favorite, and reap the fruits of your labor!!!! Dinner will be provided ;) If you are interested in participating fill out this form. You will be competing for a grand prize Hydroflask and Digikey Electronics will be there to A. Judge your projects, and B. Gift the competitors.

Ever wonder what it takes to land an internship as an international? Confused about what a CPT or an OPT is? Or what work authorization are sponsorship really means ? Fear not, ASME is here for you! We will talk about the different visa status and work permits relevant for internationals. We will also be discussing the specifics of filling up internship applications and how to answer commonly asked questions like ”Are you legally authorized to work in the US?” or “Would you require sponsorship in the future?”. The presentation would be followed by a Q&A session where you can ask any question you have. We will also have pizza! 🍕RSVP here!

Piece of advice to our readers: Nike: just do it (yourself)! Cause you definitely can! You will be discouraged, you will want to give up, but keep trying. You'll get to where you want to be knowing that you at least gave it a shot.
